Prisoner’s Escape

The mask is a metal bird covered with old paint and rust. A prison that has grown under the shadow of the tree of life.
The majestic presence of the mask evokes admiration and alarm at the same time.
The central seam extending from the tip of the beak to the forehead simulates that the mask consists of two halves hiding bare flesh. An old padlock holds these two halves together, restraining the inner being.
From one of the eyes of the mask, breaking the bars, emerges a lump of flesh resembling a man. The fugitive is a thought that has been trapped inside the mask for centuries. Whole generations of its predecessors have been lost in dreams inside the metal.
The Fugitive is the bearer of ancient knowledge capable of changing the course of events. His release from the mask is the path to unlocking his potential and gaining his freedom. Perhaps he will become an adventurer, traveling the world and uncovering the secrets of his origins? Or perhaps a conqueror that will build an entire empire of his own prisons?
The 2 keys seen in the beak do not fit the lock. An ironic mockery.
They symbolize the duality with which we approach almost any issue in our lives. Pain and pleasure, evil and good, truth and falsehood.
What happens when the right key is found outside of these categories, or vice versa, uniting them?

This mask is handmade from plastic, primed, painted with acrylic and oil paints, coated with acrylic varnish.
Can be used as a mask and as for home decoration.
For comfortable wearing, there is a porolon foam.
The elastic band on the back of the head is adjustable for any size of the head.
Has 2 attachment points securely fix the mask on the face.

Recommendations for use:
-do not hit, do not drop;
-at high temperatures will melt the extra flexible and can be deformed;
-carefully cleaned with a damp sponge, do not use any kind of solvent.
