Seed of Azazel “Naturalia non sunt turpia”

These images are connected by a thin red chain of a leash stretching back to my teenage years. And there are 4 main links in this chain.
a) “The natural cannot be ugly” the Greek quote, the motifs of architecture and the basic shape of the masks of demons, reminiscent of ancient sculptures, tell the story of the ideal image of a man who is zealously trying to perpetuate himself better than he is.
b) Azazel is the name of the ancient rite of the “Scapegoat” in Judaism. Azazel is a special animal that, after symbolically laying on him the sins of the entire people, was released into the desert (that is, condemned to a painful death). Later, according to the beliefs of the ancient Jews, he was a fallen angel, a demon of the desert. He taught men how to make weapons and fight, and women how to use precious stones, jewelry, and cosmetics, as well as deceive; he seduced people into godlessness and taught them debauchery. I love trying on this look in the form of a full costume.
c) Zazel fragrance of love is the first porn feature film that I saw in my youth. The main character is the artist Zazelle. The girl is passionate about finding a special “fragrance of love” in order to create the most exciting perfume in the history of mankind. In her research, she uses all kinds of practices (drawing, looking at photographs, walking among the flowers in her garden) to reveal and visualize her unbridled sexual fantasies.
d) Masks as a concealment of one’s personality and, moreover, greater honesty in actions and expressions of emotions.

ABOUT THE DIORAMA
This piece is handcrafted from ABS-like resin and finished with a mixed-media painting technique. The surface is sealed with a protective varnish to preserve the color, texture, and mood of the design.
Inside, the mask features 2 adjustable elastic straps, allowing a stable and comfortable fit on most adult head sizes. Soft padding is added for longer wear during cosplay, photoshoots or performance.
